MELODIE DUHUTREL - VALIANTHE-ET-OPTILOU
DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN 3 WORDS
Perfectionist, respectful, passionate
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT MAKING VIDEOS/PHOTOS?
Each photo is a memory that will never happen again as they say. And sharing them on my account is a way to keep them and share them with the people who support us. This is also why I like having a blog (for me my Instagram account) and I can share my experience with passionate people and exchange with them on different subjects.
As for videos, they bring more emotions and allow us to share more than a photo with our subscribers, because a photo is a single fraction of a second of what is happening, a video allows them and allows me to see everything that is happening, the good things as well as the bad things.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST MEMORY WITH YOUR SUBSCRIBERS?
I loved being able to meet some of them in Lamotte, or at competitions. Even if sometimes it's stressful that we're recognized ;)
WHAT DOES HORSE RIDING BRING YOU?
For me, horse riding is a school of life, my horses taught me respect, patience, perseverance. Horse riding brings me a lot physically, the competition to lose or make mistakes to learn better.
WHAT EQUESTRIAN DISCIPLINE(S) DO YOU PREFER?
CSO, dressage, cross-country and ethology.
CAN YOU DESCRIBE YOUR MOUNT(S) IN A FEW WORDS?
I am surrounded by two adorable companions. Optilou is a 1.47m dark bay (turns black depending on the season) ONC pony, 17 years old, who has taught me everything since 2008. Thanks to him, I was able to realize the dream of doing Lamotte Beuvron in 2016 in eventing thanks to a truly extraordinary season in club 2. Then he allowed me to be Normandy champion in 2017. He is a pony with little means, but a huge heart. In view of the survey, I think I will focus on pure dressage with him to continue to go out a little in competition.
I also have Valianthe Maoucha, who is a 10-year-old Selle Français mare by El Dorado Maoucha. She has been ours since 2014. I am only just starting to take her out more regularly in CSO competitions and thanks to her speed and respect for the bars we are very generally on the top step of the podium. We are currently competing in the Elite Club and we will be going out as an amateur as soon as I have validated my gallop 7 (logically this summer).
The horses live at home in the field all day and in the stable at night so that they can rest in peace.
STYLE-WISE, YOU ARE MORE OF:
Urban/chic
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE EQUESTRIAN SHOP ITEM?
Gypsy - the thin silver bracelet! it's super discreet and very classy, I love it.
WHICH EQUESTRIAN SHOP ITEM DO YOU THINK GOES BEST WITH:
A chic style: Melvin capeline in Beige
A day of competition: Pro ride riding gloves
A romantic evening: the Gipsy bracelet for finesse and elegance, but to remind us of our passion.
A casual day: Liberty Paradise with a little blue fabric bracelet!
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE EQUESTRIAN SHOP AS A PARTNER?
I love Equestrian Shop for the diversity of products they offer and allows us to finish our rider look with finesse. And why not a piece of jewelry or lucky accessories? I bought from Equestrian shop for several years in a row in Lamotte and the idea came to me that it would be great to represent you, so I applied and I hope to be able to represent you as best I can !
